A PLANET IN CRISIS
The Earth’s exploding population is causing a huge spike in demand for the use of rubber and plastic materials, both of which are toxic to our environment and fragile eco-system. It is estimated that over 400 million tons of plastic alone is currently being produced annually around the world, much of it ending up in landfills leaching poisonous toxins into our soil and water supply. Burning of plastic and rubber in the open-air leads to environmental pollution due to the release of poisonous chemicals. Our oceans have become a huge dumping ground for these materials and all marine species are threatened with extinction. Rain forests are being cut down at an alarming rate to make way for more rubber plantations to help with the growing demand for rubber. Once gone, the rain forests will be permanently lost to history. Is this the world that you want to leave for your children to inherit?
